Keeping With The TimesOver the last 4 years, Caribyte Inc. has strived to provide our clients with an optimal service at a competitive rate. If feedback from the majority of our clients is anything to go by, we have been successful. The time has come, however, for us to rationalise our cost structure especially as it relates to technical support. A large part of our tech support business is to corporate customers who we service on-site. Though we have been able to absorb any price increases in fuel in the past, we must now alter our rates to adjust for this increase. We trust that you, our loyal clients, will understand the need for this as our prices have been approximately 35% below the industry average since our inception in 2003. Our technical support rates have therefore been adjusted as follows:
All Prices are VAT inclusive. On-site jobs will be billed at the on-site rate for the first 2 hours, and at the in-house rate for each additional hour.
We have also adjusted our in-house rates to be more in line with market values, and have done so in a manner such that another rate adjustment should not be necessary in the foreseeable future. A couple of months ago a client contacted us to have a domain registered, but wasnt ready to have his site hosted. So we registered the domain as requested. More recently he contacted us and said he found a company that was offering web hosting services for a lower rate than we were, and he wanted his domain to point to them. So we requested the name server information and applied the changes to the domain. 24 hours later when the domain should have fully propagated, he was still unable to view his website.
